FRESNO, Calif. - Allison Kime was 2-for-2 at the plate as the UCF softball team was defeated by San Diego, 6-2, at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic Friday afternoon. The Toreros improved to 10-9 on the season, while the Golden Knights fell to 13-12.

Ashley Baker was tagged with the loss for UCF, pitching one inning and giving up four runs on three hits.

San Diego struck in the first inning when Ashlee Nunes led off with a single up the middle. Four batters later, Nunes scored on a Gina McFarland single to right field to make it 1-0 in favor of the Toreros.

Rebekah Bradford hit a two-run triple to right center and then scored on a Nicole Valenzuela single up the middle to give San Diego a 4-0 lead after two innings of play.

Kacie Feaster put the Golden Knights on the board in the sixth inning when she hit a home run over the fence in straight away center field.

The Toreros added two more runs in the sixth inning on a Kathleen Bonja two-run single to left field.

Cici Alvarez scored from second on an Amber Lamb RBI single to center field in the top of the seventh to make the final score 6-2.

Erin Harmonson (6-4) earned the win in the circle for San Diego, pitching 5.1 innings and giving up one run on five hits.

The Golden Knights' game against host No. 25 Fresno State scheduled for tonight at 10 p.m. has been rescheduled for Sunday at 6 p.m. eastern due to inclement weather. UCF takes on No. 15 Washington at 8 p.m. followed by No. 8 Oregon State at 10 p.m.
