ORLANDO - After a five-match road swing through the state, the UCF women's tennis team returns home on Tuesday to take on Eastern Michigan at 11 a.m.
The Golden Knights' recent 4-3 win at Jacksonville evened the squad's record to 4-4. Both junior Megan Hunter and sophomore Jennifer Carati earned convincing 6-0, 6-0 wins in the victory over the Dolphins and UCF also grabbed the doubles point with identical 8-0 wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
Hunter remains the most successful player on the team this season with a 23-9 combined record in singles and doubles.
Eastern Michigan, who will open against Cincinnati at home prior to traveling to Orlando, currently has a 2-2 mark. The Eagles most recently lost a 6-1 decision to Indiana State, but Catherina Bestahorn earned Mid-American Conference (MAC) Player of the Week honors despite the team's performance.
EMU holds a 5-1 advantage over UCF in the all-time series.
