CORAL GABLES - The 24th-ranked Miami men's tennis team recorded a 7-0 victory over visiting UCF on Saturday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. The Golden Knights (3-2) were playing for the first time since Feb. 4.

The Hurricanes, who improve to 5-1 with the win, claimed all six singles matches and two of three doubles tilts. UCF did have success at the top doubles spot as sophomore Sinan Sudas and freshman Norman Alcantara recorded an 8-5 win over Luigi D'Agord and Vivek Subramanian.

"Miami is a very good team," said UCF head coach Bobby Cashman. "Hopefully, playing against a team of this caliber will be a good lesson for our team."

In singles play, Sudas faced D'Agord, ranked 25th individually, at the No. 1. spot. D'Agord posted a 6-1, 6-2 win. UCF freshman Brock Sakey won the first game against Subramanian at No. 6, but the Hurricane rallied for a 4-6, 6-0, 10-8 victory. At the No. 2 position, No. 87 Josh Cohen was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over the Golden Knights' Alamgir Wali.

The Golden Knights return to action on Sunday, facing host Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton at 11 a.m.
