ORLANDO - The UCF men's tennis team will head south this weekend for a pair of matches against in-state rivals. The Golden Knights play 30th-ranked Miami on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Coral Gables. UCF will then head to Boca Raton to visit Florida Atlantic at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Head coach Bobby Cashman's squad has not played since Feb. 4 when it posted a 5-2 win at home over UT-San Antonio. The Golden Knights had two matches (versus Georgia State, at Georgia Southern) last weekend cancelled due to inclement weather.

Miami is 4-1 on the year after recording a 6-1 victory over No. 40 Rice in Houston on Sunday. The Hurricanes have two players ranked nationally in singles. Luigi D'Agord is 25th and Josh Cohen is currently ranked 87th.

The squads met a year ago in Coral Gables and the Hurricanes earned a 7-0 win. Miami has won all seven series meetings.

Florida Atlantic is 2-5 on the year. The Owls lost 5-2 to Atlantic Sun rival Stetson on Saturday at home.

In 2005, the Golden Knights defeated Florida Atlantic on two occasions, once during the regular season and in the quarterfinals of the A-Sun Championship. UCF leads the all-time series, 18-6.
