ORLANDO - The UCF softball team will play some of its early home games at Merrill Park, the East Coast home of Team USA Softball, in Altamonte Springs, Fla. due to construction of its new on-campus stadium.
The first game affected by this change is the Bethune-Cookman doubleheader on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Hofstra game on Feb. 21 will also be played at Merrill Park, with the first pitch at 2:30 p.m.
The UCF Tournament is also scheduled to be played at Merrill Park, March 3-5. The final "home" games at Merrill Park for UCF will be on March 7 when St. John's and Boston College come to town.
The UCF Softball Complex is slated to be completed by March 14 when Tulsa comes to town for the first Conference USA series in school history.
