Feb. 1, 2006

ORLANDO - The UCF men's tennis team will make its shortest road trip of the season on Thursday when it travels across town to face Rollins in Winter Park. First serve at the Bert W. Martin Tennis Complex is slated for 2:30 p.m.

The Golden Knights are 1-1 on the year after dropping a 7-0 contest at No. 2 Florida last Thursday. Rollins will be making its season debut against UCF.

UCF head coach Bobby Cashman will be looking for individual contributions from freshmen Brock Sakey and Jimmy Roesch. Sakey dropped a 6-1, 6-4 contest at No. 6 to Florida's Ryan Sherry. Roesch did not compete in singles play against the Gators.

The Tars finished the fall campaign ranked eighth nationally at the Division II level. Rollins has a 22-7-2 edge in the all-time series.
