ORLANDO- The UCF women's basketball team wants to break the home attendance record and "Pack the House" when the Golden Knights host Conference USA rival UTEP on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. in UCF Arena. The game is also scheduled to be broadcast live by CSTV.

"We want to invite the Orlando community to come be a part of program history not only as we celebrate our first nationally televised contest, but also as we try to break the attendance record," said UCF head coach Gail Striegler.

In an effort to accomplish the feat, UBS Financial Services, with the support of branch manager John Cosgrove, is donating a block of tickets to schools, youth groups and underprivileged children. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and can be secured by calling (407) UCF-1000. Once the supply is exhausted, admission for the game is only $1.

As for all UCF home games, youth basketball organizations are admitted free.

Among the activities scheduled for the game are t-shirt and other prize giveaways, including one for the best sign. There will also be youth cheerleaders and other entertainment.

The previous program attendance record stands at 876, a mark that was set on Feb. 2, 2002 when the Golden Knights hosted Campbell.
