ORLANDO - UCF redshirt freshman safety Sha'reff Rashad was named to the 2005 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District® football team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Rashad has 21 tackles on the season, including a career-high seven in a 23-13 victory over Marshall Sept. 24.
Rashad and the Golden Knights return to action Dec. 24 in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl vs. Nevada. The bowl appearance is the first in school history for the Golden Knights. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu and ESPN will televise the game live.
