ORLANDO- The UCF women's basketball team signed Philadelphia natives Jimerea Lee and Shante Cummings, both standouts at Neumann-Goretti High School, to National Letters of Intent, head coach Gail Striegler announced on Tuesday.

Lee, a 5-9 point guard, has scored over 800 points during her career and earned both All-Catholic and All-City honors.

"Jimerea sees the floor extremely well," said Striegler. "She has a great handle and court presence."

Cummings, meanwhile, is a 5-10 guard with more than 1,000 points to her credit. Like Lee, she has also received All-Catholic and All-City recognition.

"Shante can play both at shooting guard and small forward. She is a great shooter that can score from any spot on the court," said Striegler.

The Golden Knights finished with a 19-10 overall mark during 2004-05 as they earned their third consecutive Atlantic Sun Regular Season Championship. In 2005-06, UCF begins its inaugural season in Conference USA.
