Ticket Sales Reach 28,000 for C-USA Football Championship

Nov. 25, 2005

ORLANDO - Ticket sales for the inaugural Conference USA Football Championship Game presented by Xbox continued on a strong pace Friday and reached 28,000 by the close of business. Friday was the deadline for UCF season ticket holders to purchase the same seats they had during the 2005 season so the special call center for those customers is no longer in operation and all tickets will now be sold through Ticketmaster either online or by phone.

"We had a great response from our season ticket holders through the call center we had set up," said Matt DiFebo, the director of customer service and sales for UCF Athletics. "But not all of our customers purchased their seats by Friday's deadline so those seats have now been released back to Ticketmaster, which means there are some truly some great seats still available for sale, including some in our priority sections."

Fans can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster by phone at 407-839-3900, or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices are $30 for lower level sideline seats and end zone tickets are $18. Groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets in the end zone at a reduced rate of $10. UCF students can purchase tickets on campus for a reduced rate of $8.

The game is set for Dec. 3, at noon at the Florida Citrus Bowl. UCF earned the right to host the championship game as a result of its 7-1 record in C-USA play and will play either UTEP or Tulsa.
