ORLANDO - The UCF women's basketball team has added a game against Troy to its 2005-06 schedule, head coach Gail Striegler announced on Friday. The Golden Knights will visit the Lady Trojans for a 3 p.m. tip-off on Dec. 11.
The cancellation of the game at Georgia Southern on Dec. 12 gave the Golden Knights the opportunity to pick up another contest. Troy, currently a member of the Sun Belt Conference, is a familiar foe for UCF, which joined Conference USA this season, as the two schools were rivals in the Atlantic Sun.
The Lady Trojans are also set to participate in the UCF Holiday Classic, but the two teams are not scheduled to meet during that tournament.
The Golden Knights (1-1) return to action on Nov. 25 against Butler in the first round of the Hilton Concord Thanksgiving Classic in Moraga, Calif.
