ORLANDO - UCF student-athletes, faculty and staff will join the National Consortium for Academics and Sports in welcoming 100 fans from the Miracle League and Orange County Public School's Transition Class to the UCF-Houston football game on Saturday at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
The event begins at 4 p.m. on Tinker Field when the participants and their parents will enjoy a tailgate party along with the Golden Knights, followed by an opportunity to take part in the 2005 Homecoming festivities and watch UCF take on Conference USA rival Houston. Kickoff is slated for 6:15 p.m.
The Golden Knights have been working with the Miracle League baseball teams for the last three years, while they have had a relationship with the OCPS students for the past four years.
The event is sponsored in part by Olive Garden.
