ORLANDO - The UCF men's tennis team will be in action this weekend when it competes at the C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational hosted by Rollins in Winter Park. The tournament will begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday. Barry, Florida Southern, Jacksonville, Saint Leo and North Florida are also participating in the tournament.

"I think it will be a great event for our players," said UCF head coach Bobby Cashman. "You always want to put your skills to the ultimate test and really see how far you have come as a team, as well as individually."

Senior Ener Gursoy is the top seed in the Flight A bracket. He earned an automatic first round bye, allowing him to advance to the second round of the tournament. Freshman Tarek Ben Soltane earned the sixth seed in the tournament, which means he also will earn a first round bye.

Freshman Norman Alcantra is seeded number one in the Flight B bracket and freshman Brandon Delanois earned the number three seed.

Soltane and fellow freshman Brock Sakey earned the number one seed for the men's doubles Flight A Bracket.

Sophomore Sinan Sudas and freshman Jimmy Roesch will also compete at the event for the Golden Knights.
