EL PASO, Texas - Playing the first of four consecutive contests on the road, the UCF volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-21, 30-26, 30-24) Conference USA match to UTEP on Friday evening at Memorial Gym. Sophomore outside hitter Schanell Neiderworder posted her third consecutive double-double for the Golden Knights (4-13, 2-8 C-USA), finishing with 11 kills and 10 digs.

UTEP improves to 13-7 overall and 3-4 in league play.

Sophomore setter Kim Clonan registered a team-high 19 assists in the losing effort. UCF hit .068 as a team for the match, compared to .150 for the hosts.

Freshman libero Lindsay Randazzo tallied 13 digs and junior outside hitter Maina Heming posted 12 digs for UCF.

The Golden Knights finished with 12 total team blocks. Junior middle blocker Jana Mitchell recorded six total blocks, while Neiderworder chipped in with five.

Kari Stacy led the Miners with 14 kills and 12 digs. Christie Murphy totaled 12 kills. Jaymie Swift had a double-double with 35 assists and 13 digs.

The Golden Knights return to the court on Sunday, playing host Tulane in on the Texas A&M campus in College Station. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
