IRVING, Texas - UCF's Kristin Bilby was named Conference USA's Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. The honor was the first for the UCF women's soccer team.
Over the weekend, Bilby scored both game-winning goals as UCF defeated conference foes East Carolina, 3-1, and Marshall, 3-0.
Against East Carolina, Bilby headed the game-winning goal into the net during the 51st minute of play to give the Golden Knights a 2-1 lead.
On Sunday, Bilby again scored the game-winning goal, this time in the 22nd minute. She took a pass and sent it to the top left corner of the net to give UCF the 1-0 advantage.
In addition to Bilby's honor, goalkeepers Isabel Briones of Memphis and Ashley Gunter of SMU were named C-USA co-Defensive Players of the Week
Bilby and the rest of the UCF women's soccer team return to the turf Tuesday, Oct. 18 when the Miami Hurricanes come to town. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
