UCF sophomore Chris Anderson led the way Monday morning for the Golden Knights with an even-par 72 and is tied for 12th in the individual standings, while UCF sits in 13th place after one complete round of the inaugural Shoal Creek Intercollegiate Tournament at Shoal Creek Golf Club.
Rains before the start of competition Monday morning delayed play just long enough to prevent the field from completing Monday's afternoon round, leaving the teams with two holes to finish.
LSU leads the 15-team field after firing a 2-under-par 284, while Tiger teammates Chris Wells and Beck Troutman share the lead after posting identical 3-under-par 69s. Tennessee, Georgia State, Alabama and Florida round out the top five teams, while UCF trails LSU by 16 shots after carding a 12-over-par 300.
The teams will complete the second round Tuesday morning before playing the third and final round afterward. Weather is not expected to be a problem Tuesday.
