ORLANDO - The UCF women's track and field team received its fourth all-academic team award from the National Collegiate Division I Track Coaches' Association, the organization announced recently.

The award is given to track and field teams, whose competitive student-athletes earn a combined 3.0 or better grade point average during the year. The Golden Knights posted 3.1993 to rank 22nd in the nation.

"I am very proud of our student-athletes," said UCF head coach Marcia Mansur-Wentworth. "Their performance in the classroom is even more important than their effort on the field and these young women continue to excel in both areas."

The Golden Knights won six consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference titles prior to the move to Conference USA for the 2005-06 season.
