ORLANDO - The UCF Athletics Association, Inc. and ISP Sports announced the affiliate list for the 2005 UCF ISP Football Radio Network on Wednesday afternoon. The six-station network includes the flagship station of UCF Athletics, WQTM 740-AM The Team, for the 11th straight season.
The additional affiliates include WMMV 1350-AM in Cocoa, WDCF 1350-AM in Dade City, WROD 1340-AM in Daytona Beach, WMMB 1240-AM in Melbourne and WZHR-1400 in Zephyrhills.
"ISP Sports is excited to join our media partner Clear Channel in expanding the UCF Football Network with two new affiliates in Brevard County," stated UCF ISP General Manager Bobby Bohn. "WMMB 1240-AM in Melbourne and WMMV 1350-AM in Cocoa provide radio coverage to the growing alumni and fan base in Brevard County."
740 The Team is a 50,000-watt AM station that reaches all five Central Florida counties. One of the southeast's leading sports stations, 740 The Team has the most complete coverage of UCF athletics throughout the year, featuring live games, coach's shows and additional UCF programming.
Marc Daniels returns as the play-by-play voice of UCF Athletics for the 11th consecutive season. Daniels, who is the voice of UCF football, basketball and baseball, also hosts the Cingular Wireless Knights Roundtable with George O'Leary, held every Thursday during the season at the Orlando Ale House in Waterford Lakes.
Gary Parris is set to begin his 15th season as the color analyst for UCF's football broadcasts. Parris played professional football for nine seasons as a tight end with the NFL's San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns and St. Louis Cardinals after a standout collegiate career at Florida State.
Roaming the sidelines for the 11th season is Jerry O'Neill to round out the UCF football radio broadcast crew. O'Neill's radio broadcasting career spans over 20 years, including stops in St. Louis and several Florida markets. O'Neill hosts a daily sports talk show "The Finish Line" every weekday from 6-9 p.m. on 740 The Team.
