ORLANDO - UCF volleyball head coach Meg Colado announced Monday that Kyle Peck will be joining the Golden Knights staff as a volunteer assistant coach. Peck will begin his duties immediately.
Peck brings over five years of coaching experience on the collegiate and high school levels to UCF. He has spent time as an assistant coach at the University of West Alabama and Hiram College in Ohio.
"Kyle will be a great addition as a volunteer," said Colado. "He will be a live arm in the gym and another set of eyes to help us out this season."
This past year, he served as the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Bay High School in Panama City, Fla. Peck previously was the head varsity coach at Miami Christian School.
While at West Alabama from 2003-04, he assisted with recruiting and administrative duties in addition to supervising the team's strength and conditioning program. Peck earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from West Alabama.
The 2005 campaign will mark UCF's first season in Conference USA. The Golden Knights open the season on Aug. 26 at Florida A&M. The squad makes its home debut on Sept. 20 versus Florida Atlantic.
