DeLAND - After two rounds of play at the 2005 Atlantic Sun Women's Golf Championship at the Victoria Hills Golf Course, UCF is in third place with a team score of 616. The Golden Knights are seven strokes out of the lead behind Georgia State (609) and Campbell (615).
The 54-hole event concludes with third round play on Wednesday.
UCF junior Ashley Grier posted a second round score of 75 on Tuesday. Grier (148) sits in second place at four shots over par and three strokes behind leader Lisbeth Meincke (145) of Georgia State. Meincke opened the event with a 71 on Monday and followed that with a 2-over-par 74 today.
Junior Jessica Trein is tied for eighth after carding a 76 in the second round. At 14-over-par, senior Livia Jacboson is tied for 19th.
The first set of UCF golfers tee off at 9:36 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
