ORLANDO, Fla. - The UCF softball team returns to the Ed C. Moore Softball Complex in Clearwater for the Speedline Tournament hosted by USF. The Golden Knights played their first tournament of the season going 2-3 last time in Clearwater before falling to Florida in the Gold Bracket championship game.

This weekend is the first time that UCF will match up with all three teams on the softball diamond. The Golden Knights are 2-4 this season against ranked opponents, and will get a crack at No. 10 Baylor on Saturday afternoon in pool play.

The Golden Knights come into the weekend with a 19-12-1 record. UCF is coming off a second place finish at the UCF Fastpitch Invitational where the Golden Knights went 2-2-1 over the weekend.

Stephanie Best paces the offense with a .333 batting average, and leads the Golden Knights with 30 hits, including 10 home runs and 24 RBI. Best has drawn 19 walks, and also has a .722 slugging percentage. Bryttani Lindheim is coming off a seven-for-17 weekend hitting .412 and knocking in four RBI. Amber Lamb is second on the team with 28 hits producing 21 RBI. She has already surpassed her RBI total from a season ago.

Lindsay Enders and Kelly McIntyre anchor the pitching staff. McIntyre is 12-3 in her last 15 decisions dating back to last season. This season McIntyre is 7-1 with 2.40 ERA. Enders comes in with a 7-7 mark, and paces the staff by far with 67 strikeouts. The opposition comes in only hitting .203 against Enders this season.

UCF returns home next weekend for the UCF Spring Fling Tournament where No. 19 Georgia Tech is one of the opponents for the Golden Knights in pool play.
