Women's Tennis Hosts Richmond

ORLANDO - The UCF women's tennis team is looking to extend its four-match winning streak when it hosts Richmond at the UCF Tennis Complex on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Golden Knights have played well recently earning victories in six of their last eight outings and are now 6-6 overall.

Several Knights have continued to ride their own individual streaks as well. Senior co-captain Kristina Lohmos has defeated her last four opponents at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, while she has also teamed with freshman Kyla McNicol for an undefeated 4-0 mark at No. 1 doubles.

Freshman Anna Yakimchenkova has also gone unbeaten in her last four matches and has the best overall combined singles and doubles record on the team at 11-3.

The Spiders come to Orlando with a 2-5 record after beating Division II opponent Nova Southeastern by a 6-3 score on Monday. Senior Lindsay Cox and sophomore Robin Carter have won two consecutive matches at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.

The Golden Knights are 1-3 against Richmond in the all-time series.

After tomorrow's match, UCF has a five-day lay-off before traveling to California, where they will face Loyola Marymount and No. 75 UC-Irvine.
