ORLANDO - Under cloudy conditions on Thursday afternoon, the UCF men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 match to Air Force at the UCF Tennis Complex. The Golden Knights fall to 8-8 on the year. Air Force, ranked 74th nationally, improves to 14-3.

UCF started the match strong, winning two matches to claim the doubles point. Junior Ener Gursoy and sophomore Sebastian Delgado posted an 8-1 victory at No. 3 against Trevor Johnson and Robby Alexander.

At No. 2, the senior tandem of Antonio Sierra and Joel Allen held on for an 8-5 win over Chris Dong and Tyler McClung.

Gursoy and Delgado were equally impressive on the singles side, earning victories at No. 2 and No. 5, respectively.

Gursoy eased past McClung, 6-0, 6-2. Against Justin Lau, Delgado breezed to a 6-2, 6-1 win.

The Falcons took four wins in singles play to secure the victory. At No. 1, Shannon Buck, who ranks 45th nationally, beat Allen, 6-2, 6-2.

The Golden Knights return to the courts on Saturday against Pacific, playing the third contest of a four-match homestand. First serve at the UCF Tennis Complex is scheduled for 10 a.m.
