BRADENTON - The UCF women's golf team is in ninth place after 18 holes of play at the Waterlefe/USF Invitational Monday afternoon at the Waterlefe Golf Club in Bradenton. The Golden Knights shot an opening round score of 322, 20 shots behind first round leader Georgia State.

Junior Jess Trein leads UCF with a seven-over par 79 to start play Monday. Trein is tied for 28th place overall. Senior Livia Jakobsson is one stroke behind with an 80, tied for 37th while junior Ashley Grier is two strokes back with an 81 (tied for 40th).

Play finishes Tuesday with the final round of play in Bradenton.
