Women's Golf Finishes Eighth in Bradenton

BRADENTON - The UCF women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Waterlefe/USF Invitational Tuesday at the Waterlefe Golf Club in Bradenton. The Golden Knights had their best round of the tournament with a score of 308, but it was not enough as Miami won the event with a team score of 888. UCF finished the 54-hole event with a team score of 949.

Junior Ashley Grier had a strong final 18 holes, shooting a one-over par 73 to finish tied for 19th overall. Grier shot a 54-hole total of 232.

Senior Livia Jakobsson fired a four-over 76 Tuesday to end the tournament tied for 24th with a score of 234.

UCF returns to action at the Ryder Florida Collegiate Golf Championship in Miami Lakes April 1-3.
