ORLANDO - The UCF men's tennis team extended its winning streak to three matches with a 6-1 win over visiting Boston College at the UCF Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon. The match had been rescheduled after high winds postponed the original date on Tuesday.

The Golden Knights (5-6) took control by winning the doubles point despite a close 8-6 win by Simon Jaeger and Rhett Rosen at the No. 2 position.

UCF continued to roll, easily taking victories at the bottom of the lineup. Senior Antonio Sierra clinched the win when he defeated BC's Jason Sechrist, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4 singles. Knight senior Joel Allen also took his match 6-2, 6-0 over Artom Bogdanovich.

Chris McCoy won BC's only match, a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Jaeger at No. 2, as the Eagles (2-7) dropped their fourth consecutive match.

Junior Ener Gursoy capped off the win at No.1 singles by topping Soma Kesthely, 7-5, 6-2.

UCF returns to action against in-state rival No. 58 USF on Saturday at the UCF Tennis Complex. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
