ORLANDO - After a weeklong layoff, the UCF men's tennis team returns to action on Saturday, hosting Florida A&M at 11 a.m. Admission to the match at the UCF Tennis Complex is free.
The Golden Knights (3-6) last played on Feb. 26, topping Atlantic Sun rival Florida Atlantic, 6-1. UCF's match at Stetson scheduled for Thursday was postponed due to inclement weather.
Senior Joel Allen was named A-Sun Player of the Week on March 2 after teaming with fellow senior Antonio Sierra to defeat Miami's 40th-ranked duo of Josh Cohen and Eric Hechtman, 8-3. The pair also earned an 8-3 win over FAU's Antonio Magres and Eugenio Pellman.
Allen also went 1-1 in singles play. After losing to UM's John Hoyes, 6-4, 6-4, on Friday, Allen rebounded to take a 6-2, 6-0 victory over FAU's David Demers.
After the match with the Rattlers, UCF hosts Boston College on March 8.
