UCF Drops Match to the Bucs

WINTER PARK - The UCF men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 match to Barry on Sunday afternoon at the Bert W. Martin Tennis Complex on the Rollins College campus. The Golden Knights fall to 1-4 on the season while Barry (1-0) claims its season opener.

UCF picked up a pair of singles victories. Playing at the No. 4 spot, senior Joel Allen got past Victor Rodriguez, 7-5, 6-3. Freshman Sinan Sudas took a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 over Martin Jensen.

The Buccaneers finished the fall season ranked fifth nationally in Division II.

Barry won two of the three doubles matches. The Golden Knights won at No. 2 when senior Antonio Sierra and Sudas topped Sebastian Losavio and Jensen, 8-5.

UCF returns to the courts on Feb. 12, hosting Bethune-Cookman at the UCF Tennis Complex.
