TROY, Ala. (AP) - Joshua Peppers scored 22 points for the Golden Knights to lead UCF to a 77-73 victory over Troy on Friday.
Peppers shot 5-of-11 from 3-point range for the Golden Knights (15-7, 8-6 Atlantic Sun Conference). Anthony Williams scored 16 points and Marcus Avant added 15. Gary Johnson had 13 points and a game-high 10 assists, and he hit 3-of-7 from 3-point range.
Eddie Baker and Bobby Dixon led Troy (9-13, 7-6) with 16 points each and Corey Hornsby had 12. Jacob Hazouri added 10 points and shot 3-of-3 from 3-point range. Dixon had a game-high six assists.
The Golden Knights shot 44.4 percent from the field and the Trojans shot 42.9 percent.
