ORLANDO - The Kansas City Wizards of Major League Soccer blanked the UCF men's soccer team, 3-0, in an exhibition match at the UCF Soccer Complex on Friday night.
The Wizards, who advanced to the finals of MLS Cup in 2004 before losing to DC United, opened the scoring when John Minagawa-Webster's shot deflected off a Knights' defender past junior goalkeeper Ryan McIntosh in the 10th minute.
Kansas City would also get goals from Preki and Jack Jewsbury in the first half to take a 3-0 lead.
The Golden Knights' best chance to score came with eight minutes left on the clock on shot by freshman Adham Rashwan.
McIntosh finished the night with seven saves. Kansas City's Will Hesmer and Chris Sawyer split goalkeeping duties and each stopped three shots.
The Golden Knights finish the spring campaign with an 11 vs. 11 tournament on March 26 beginning at 9 a.m.
