ORLANDO - The UCF women's soccer team has invited past players back to campus as it hosts Soccer Alumni, Family and Friends Weekend Feb. 25-27.
"Alumni weekend is a great way for the past to meet the present," said head coach Amanda Cromwell. "We always want to appreciate the players from the past who helped make this program what it is today. We also want alumni to come back and share in our success."
The event begins on Friday with a happy hour at the Holiday Inn Select prior to the men's soccer team taking on the Kansas City Wizards at 7 p.m. Following the match, the Golden Knights are hosting are post-game social at Wackadoo's in the UCF Student Union.
Saturday features an alumni game at 9 a.m. The women will rotate with the men playing two 30-minute halves each. A barbeque is scheduled for the afternoon.
The weekend is capped off by a banquet on Sunday, celebrating the accomplishments of the 2004 Atlantic Sun Champion team that advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
