BRADENTON - Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire converted on three of four penalty kicks as it defeated the UCF men's soccer team, 4-1, in an exhibition match at the IMG Academy on Thursday evening.

Chris Rolfe gave the Fire a 1-0 lead just five minutes into the contest. When Chicago received its first penalty kick in the 25th minute, UCF junior goalkeeper Ryan McIntosh made the initial save, but Justin Mapp knocked in the rebound for a 2-0 advantage.

Two minutes later, junior forward Jon Imran found the back on the net. The goal was assisted by sophomore Alejandro Gessen.

McIntosh stopped the Fire's second penalty kick attempt in the 35th minute, but allowed Nate Jaqua to convert on his attempt on eight minutes later.

CJ Brown added Chicago's fourth goal off a penalty kick with five minutes remaining in the match.

McIntosh made a total of eight saves on the day, while Zach Thornton stopped four shots for the Fire.

The Golden Knights play a final exhibition game against the Kansas City Wizards of the MLS on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex before hosting an 11 vs. 11 tournament on March 26.
