MACON, Ga. - UCF hurler Lindsay Enders was selected as Atlantic Sun Pitcher of the Week this afternoon by the league office.
Enders has started her senior campaign with the Golden Knights picking up a pair of wins, including a 3-0 shutout last Saturday against DePaul at the Clearwater Invitational. The Blue Demons were receiving votes in the NCFA and ESPN top 25 polls entering the weekend.
Enders closed out the game against DePaul in style striking out the final two batters, and retired 10 of the final 11 batters on her way to a complete game four hitter.
For the season, Enders has fanned 19 batters in over 27 innings of work, and is holding opponents to a .181 batting average.
This marks the second time during her UCF career that Enders has won the award.
UCF goes to Las Vegas this weekend to face three teams in the top 12 opening up with No. 8 LSU and No. 12 Michigan on Friday.
