ORLANDO, Fla. - The UCF women's basketball team hosts Atlantic Sun rival Jacksonville at the UCF Arena on Monday at 7 p.m. The Golden Knights will look to avenge their 59-67 loss a few weeks ago to the Dolphins. The Black and Gold enter the contest 12-7 on the season and 10-2 in the A-Sun, while Jacksonville is 4-14 on the season and 1-10 in the conference.

Senior Ali Roberts and junior Celeste Hudson lead UCF in points with 11.2 per game, while junior Shelby Weber leads the team in rebounds with 6.8 per outing. In addition to Roberts and Hudson, sophomore Francine Houston is also scoring in double-digits with 10.3 points per game. Sophomore Lashaunda Slade leads the Golden Knights in assists with 3.94 per game, while Weber also leads the team in blocks with 2.21 per game.

UCF is currently leading the A-Sun with a 10-2 (.833) mark in conference play, while Georgia State is second with a 8-4 (.667) mark.

Last time out the Golden Knights defeated Stetson, 54-49. UCF had two players in double-digits with Roberts leading the way with 15. Weber led the Black and Gold in rebounds with nine while also netting 10 points. Roberts also led the team in steals with three, while Slade led UCF in assists with five.

Sheena Carpenter leads the way for Jacksonville with 12.8 points per game, while Nakina Alford, Yolisha Jackson and Rebecca Montz are all in double-digits as well. Ashley Stinson leads the way for the Dolphins in rebounds with 6.5 per game. Carpenter also leads Jacksonville in assists with 3.24 per game, while Montz leads the team in steals with 1.76 per game.

Jacksonville is currently at the bottom of the A-Sun standings.

Last time out Jacksonville was defeated by Florida Atlantic, 89-77. Montz led the Dolphins with 19 points, while Carpenter had 16. Carpenter led the team in rebounds with eight and assists with seven. Edita Brbutovic led JU in steals with three.

This will be the 12th time that UCF and Jacksonville have met on the basketball court with the Golden Knights leading the series 6-5. UCF has won five of the last six meetings with Jacksonville. UCF and Jacksonville last played on January 29, 2005 at Swisher Gymnasium in Jacksonville with the Dolphins defeating the Black and Gold, 67-59.

Tickets for Monday's game are still available. Adults are $5. Youth age 17 and under and seniors age 55 and older pay $3.
