ORLANDO - UCF baseball begins the 2005 season with Opening Day tomorrow at Jay Bergman Field vs. the Florida International Golden Panthers. The 24th-ranked Golden Knights host FIU in a two-game series at Jay Bergman Field, with first pitch set for just after 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday in Orlando.
Saturday's game will air live on the UCF ISP Sports Network with the voice of the Golden Knights Marc Daniels. The pregame show hits the air at 12:45 p.m. Sunday's game can be heard on the Internet only at ucfathletics.com. Both games of the series will have Internet coverage.
The Golden Knights, who finished 47-18 in 2004, return seven position player starters to the diamond in 2005. UCF advanced to the NCAA regional finals at Florida State in 2004, falling to the host Seminoles in the final game of the regional.
On Saturday, UCF will honor the 2004 team prior to the game. Most of the former players will be back at Jay Bergman Field, including Matt Fox, Kyle Bono and Clay Timpner. The trio of former UCF stars are now in professional baseball, but all three will throw out the first pitch Saturday.
Sunday, UCF honors its very first baseball Olympian in Laurence Heisler. The former Golden Knight was part of the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Heisler pitched for Greece during the 2004 Olympics. During his career at UCF from 1990-91; Heisler was 17-10 with a 3.59 ERA in two seasons of work. He totaled 149 strikeouts in 210.1 innings of work. Heisler's 117 innings pitched in 1991 still rank sixth in the UCF single-season annals.

General Parking
Located on the south side of the UCF Arena. UCF lots labeled F1, T600, and the North Parking Garage. Fans will experience a slightly longer walk to the baseball stadium and increased vehicular traffic.
Priority Parking
For UCF Baseball patrons that are BOTH members of the Golden Knights Club at the Noble Donor level or above AND season-ticket holders. Located in the UCF lot labeled F5 behind the UCF Arena. Priority parking patrons are asked to display their parking hang-tag to gain entrance to the F5 lot.
Media Parking
Located in the UCF lot labeled F5 behind the UCF Arena in the northwest corner of the lot.
