Two Women Soccer Players Named Freshman All-America

ORLANDO, Fla. - UCF women's soccer players Kendra Flock and Jessica Hallgren were named to the Freshman All-Americas Third Team by soccerbuzz.com. Flock and Hallgren helped to lead the Golden Knights a 17-4-2 overall record and an 8-2-0 mark in the Atlantic Sun.

Flock led the Black and Gold in points with 29 after scoring 13 goals and assisting on three others. She had game-winning goals against Minnesota, Lipscomb, No. 12 Florida State and No. 10 Florida in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Flock also led the team in shots (67) and shots on goal (31).

Hallgren played a key role in the success of the Golden Knights defense allowing opposing teams to take 179 shots with 14 goals on the season.

In this off-season, Flock has also been named to the A-Sun All-Conference First Team, A-Sun All-Freshman Team, National Soccer Coaches Association of America Southeast Region Second Team, soccerbuzz.com Southeast Region Second Team and soccerbuzz.com Southeast Region All-Freshman Team while Hallgren has been named to the soccerbuzz.com Southeast Region All-Freshman Team and A-Sun All-Freshman Team.

Flock, Hallgren and the rest of the Golden Knights will return in the fall of 2005 as a member of Conference USA. UCF will face fellow NCAA Tournament participants Rice, SMU and UAB in the upcoming season.
