ATLANTA (AP) - Kevin Thomas scored 25 points, including five 3-pointers, to help Georgia State defeat UCF 76-63 Monday night.

UCF built a 16-10 lead in the first seven minutes, but Georgia State responded with a 10-0 run. Another 8-0 run helped the Panthers (4-7, 1-2 in the Atlantic Sun Conference) take a 43-30 lead at halftime.

UCF (8-3, 1-2 Atlantic Sun) opened the second half with an 8-0 run, but Marcus Brown hit a 3 and Malcolm Manier made a layup to increase the lead to 10 points, and the Golden Knights never came closer than a seven-point deficit after that.

Brown had 14 points for the Panthers and Manier scored 10.

Anthony Williams led the Golden Knights with 21 points, and Gary Johnson added 12.
