ORLANDO - The Golden Knights are looking to extend their three-game winning streak when Troy visits on Sunday. The Knights are currently 11-4 overall and 4-3 in the A-Sun while Troy is 5-10 overall and 3-3 in the league.

The Knights and Trojans renew one of the best rivalries in the A-Sun. Troy is the only team in the league to possess a winning record against UCF at 11-6. They have met in the A-Sun championship game in each of the last two seasons. Troy earned the bid following the 2003 season with an 80-69 win over UCF. The Knights returned the favor last season, knocking off the Trojans 60-55.

The Trojans saw their recent three-game winning streak snapped in their last outing, a 96-89 home loss to Georgia State. Troy got off to a rough start, going 1-8 to begin the year. However, The Trojans have won four of their last six and are now 3-3 in the A-Sun. Three Trojans average double figures in scoring. Eddie Baker leads the trio, averaging 13.6 per contest. Baker also leads the team in rebounding at 5.3 caroms per game. Bobby Dixon and Corey Hornsby average 12.7 and 10.8 points respectively.

Marcus Avant has set a new career-high in each of the last three games. In the Knights last outing at Florida Atlantic, Avant poured in 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Against Jacksonville, the 6-7 Valdosta, Ga., native scored 14 and followed that performance up with a 17 point outing against Stetson. He added 10 points at Mercer, for a then season-high on January 5. Over the last four games, he is averaging 14.8 points per game while shooting .611 from the floor. He has also knocked down 11 trey's, going 11-for-19 from long range.

Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., as Marc Daniels will call the action, which can be heard live on UCF ISP Sports Network and its flagship station 740-THE TEAM (AM). Tickets are still available.
