BOCA RATON - Kingsley Edwards poured in a career-high 20 points including a pair of free-throws to ice the game to give UCF a 73-70 win at Florida Atlantic on Thursday night. With the win, UCF improves to 11-4 overall and 4-3 in the A-Sun.

UCF took their largest lead of the first half when Josh Peppers hit a three with just over a minute to play in the opening stanza. The first half featured three ties and six lead changes. Marcus Avant scored 12 points in the first half to help UCF build a 36-30 advantage at the break.

The Knights would build a lead of as many as ten before FAU rallied to take a 67-6 lead after a steal and a dunk by Kahleaf Watson. Kinglsey Edwards responded with a lay-up to regain the lead for UCF. FAU's Tywain McTyer hit a pair of free-throws to give the lead back to the Owls. Josh Peppers then converted an old-fashioned three point play to give the Knights the lead for good. Edwards hit a pair of free-throws with 11 seconds to play to ice the game.

Kahleaf Watson led FAU with 15 points while Mike Bell added 14 for the hosts.

Kingsley Edwards led UCF with 20 points on the night while Marcus Avant added 18, also a career-high. Josh Peppers added 13 points for the Golden Knights.
