TALLAHASSEE - The UCF women's tennis team continued to play well at the Lady Seminole Classic as two doubles pairs remain undefeated and freshman Anna Yakimchenkova advanced to the Flight Five championship match.

Yakimchenkova and her doubles partner Megan Rosario-Hunter earned their third straight victory of the tournament in Flight Three with an 8-2 win over Stetson's pairing of Bohannon/Wisnoski. In the same bracket, the duo of freshman Becky Gordon and senior Ola Luczak also won their third consecutive match with an 8-4 victory over Tantee and Tirapelli of Florida State. Both pairs will try to keep their streak alive in round four of the competition on Sunday.

Yakimchenkova also moved into the tomorrow's Flight Five singles championship match against Tirapelli with a 6-0, 6-2 win over UCF teammate and fellow freshman Kyla McNichol. With the loss, McNichol dropped into the third place match, where she will face teammate Hunter. She lost to Tirapelli, 6-4, 6-1 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the doubles team of McNichol and senior Kristina Lohmos placed sixth in Flight One doubles after dropping a 9-7 decision to Jacksonville's Willi and Hajbane. Junior Pamela Fernandez and freshman Jennifer Carati took fifth place in Flight Two doubles with an 8-5 win over Maslesa and Silverio.

Fernandez will also play Miladinovic of Stetson for third place in Flight Two Singles after losing to top-seeded Z. Cerna of Baylor, 6-1, 6-3. Lohmos, Luczak and Carati will compete for fifth place in their respective flights on Sunday. In Flight Six singles play, Gordon will try to keep her undefeated streak with a match against Bethune-Cookman's Shaunda Gaiter.

UCF's fall tennis season concludes with the final day of the Lady Seminole Classic on Sunday.
