Nov. 1, 2004

MACON, Ga. - UCF freshman forward Kendra Flock and sophomore keeper April Eilering were named the Atlantic Sun Women's Soccer Players-of-the-Week by the league office on Monday afternoon. Flock led the Golden Knights to a 3-2 win over #12 Florida State while Eilering's effort in goal in Stetson's final conference match led to the Hatters advancing to the 2004 A-Sun Championship.

Kendra Flock, from Calgary, Alberta, was named A-Sun Offensive Player-of-the-Week for the first time in her career after tallying the game-winning goal to go along with an assist in UCF's win over Florida State. Flock scored the deciding goal with just 15 seconds remaining in regulation. Flock had earlier tallied an assist on UCF's first goal of the second half. Flock has put together an impressive freshman campaign, as she leads the Golden Knights with 23 points on 10 goals and three assists.

April Eilering, a sophomore from Troy, Ill., earned her first A-Sun Defensive Player-of-the-Week honor of the season and the second of her career. Eilering posted her fourth shutout of the season in leading the Hatters to a 0-0 draw against Jacksonville. With the tie, the Hatters advanced to the 2004 A-Sun Women's Soccer Championship. Eilering grabbed three saves in 110 minutes on the week to lower her goals against average to 0.84 on the season.
