For the second consecutive week, a UCF player has won the soccerFLA.com Player of the Week award. The award is given weekly to the top college soccer player from a Florida school for his or her performance during the previous week.
Last week, UCF defeated FSU in a big upset. The Seminoles were up 2-0 when Flock assisted on a Jessalyn Withers goal. About 5-minutes later, UCF would tie the game.
With less than one minute remaining, Flock scored her team high tenth goal of the season to give UCF the lead and the victory. She took a shot that deflected off a defender before going past a diving Joy McKenzie. The goal was also her third game-winning goal of the season.:Flock is a freshman from Calgary, Canada. She graduated from Western Canada High School and helped lead the team to the Canadian All-Star National title in 2001. The team took second at the Canadian All-Star Nationals in 2002. She was a member of the Canadian National Program from 2001-03 and played for the Edmonton Aviators of the W-League.
