MIAMI - The UCF women's golf team fired its best round of the weekend with a total score of 301 Sunday to finish in third place at the Pat Bradley Invitational in Miami. The Golden Knights had the second-best team score of the round to finish the three-round event with a team score of 928.
The third-place finish is the best team finish for UCF since last spring at the USF/Waterlefe Invitational.
UCF had two players finish tied for fifth in the individual standings. Sophomore Lauren Motyl (New Bedford, Mass./New Bedford) and junior Ashley Grier (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) both totaled 225 (+9) for the tournament, with Grier firing a one-under par 71 Sunday, the best round of the day for the field.
The Golden Knights return to action Oct. 18-19 at the Hatter Fall Classic.
