FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The UCF women's basketball team will take on Northern Arizona in their second game of the season. The Golden Knights (1-0, 0-0 Atlantic Sun) defeated UNLV Friday night 60-58 in the Knights' season opener and the Rebel's home opener. Pacific defeated the Lumberjacks (0-1, 0-0 Big Sky) Friday night 59-60 in both teams' season openers.

The game between the Golden Knights and Lumberjacks will mark the first in history.

In UCF's victory over UNLV, junior Celeste Hudson led the team with 22 points. Hudson also had six rebounds, five assists and two steals. Seniors Ali Roberts and Takira Allen were a distant second and third in points with Roberts scoring 11 while Allen scored 10.

As a team, the Golden Knights were 26 of 51 on field goals, five of 14 on three-point field goals and three of eight on free throws while grabbing 37 rebounds and six steals with 15 assists.

The Lumberjacks opened the season with a loss against Pacific. During the game, junior Nicky Eason led the team with 13 points and nine rebounds while sophomore Megan Rice scored 10 points and grabbed one rebound.

Northern Arizona finished the game 20 of 46 on field goals, three of 14 on three-point field goals and seven of eight on free throws while grabbing 20 rebounds and eight steals with 15 assists and three blocks.

The Knights will play in their home opener against Southern Miss on Friday, November 26 at noon.
