FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Kingsley Edwards atoned for six turnovers with a two big late plays, including the game-clinching 3-pointer, in UCF's, 55-52, victory Saturday over Utah State in the Top of the World Classic.

The Knights, who defeated NCAA Division II host Alaska-Fairbanks in the first round of the tournament Thursday, will play the Northwestern-New Mexico State winner Sunday in the tournament championship.

The Aggies (1-1) led much of the way, though never by more than seven.

The Knights (2-0) were able to hang around and put together a 15-4 run to end the game. Marcus Johnson and Anthony Williams started the run with back-to-back 3-point plays and Gary Johnson, who led all scorers with 11 points, hit two free throws to give the Knights their first lead of the second half, 48-47, with 4:10 remaining.

Edwards then put the game away with a steal and assist, followed by his 3-pointer.

Three players were in double figures for the Aggies, including Spencer Nelson, who also had game highs of nine rebounds and six assists, though he only hit 1 of 10 field goals.

The Aggies will play the loser of the Northwestern-New Mexico State game on Sunday.
