MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) - Dante Ridgeway's second touchdown catch with 7:29 left in the game gave Ball State a come-from-behind 21-17 win over UCF on Saturday.
Ridgeway hauled in a 38-yard score from Joey Lynch for the pair's second connection of the game to put the Cardinals (2-8, 2-5 Mid-American Conference) ahead to stay at 21-17.
Ridgeway also caught a 13-yard TD from Lynch late in the first quarter, which tied the score at 7.
Lynch finished the day 10-of-14 passing for 106 yards with one interception, and Ridgeway caught five passes for 81 yards.
UCF (0-10, 0-7 MAC) started the scoring on quarterback Steven Moffett's 1-yard run with 6:15 left in the first quarter. But Ridgeway's TD and a 9-yard rushing TD by Charles Wynn gave Ball State a 14-7 halftime lead.
The Golden Knights did not score again until 3:07 left in the third on Matt Prater's 42-yard field goal to tighten the score at 14-10.
Early in the fourth quarter, Luther Huggins caught a 35-yard TD pass from Moffett to put UCF ahead 17-14 before Ridgeway's second score won the game.
Moffett completed 13-of-21 passes for 131 yards and no interceptions.
UCF's ground game gained 196 yards, 140 by Alex Haynes on 30 carries.
