TAMPA - Stefan Wistorf shot a final round 2-over-par 74 Tuesday and finished runner-up at the Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Invitational at the Old Memorial Golf Course. UCF held on to finish fourth in the 15-team field after entering the final round in fourth.
Kentucky won the event at 8-over-par 872, five shots ahead of Georgia State and seven shots ahead of South Carolina. UCF finished at 22-over, two shots ahead of Tennessee. Florida finished in eighth place at 29-over-par.
Wistorf, a junior, led after the first round, but dropped into a tie for second after round two. He finished the tournament at 1-under-par 215, two shots behind Kentucky's Mark Blakefield. It was the best finish of the year for Wistorf.
UCF senior Andreas Hoegberg registered his fourth top 10 finish of the year. He tied for eighth with freshman teammate Giwon Suh at 2-over-par. It was the best finish of the year for Suh.
UCF led after the first of two scheduled rounds Monday, but slipped to fourth by the time the second round was finished Tuesday morning. Weather delays and darkness prevented the second round from being completed Monday.
UCF winds up its fall schedule in two weeks by hosting the Inaugural Isleworth Collegiate Invitational at Isleworth Country Club in Windermere, Fla.
