ORLANDO - The UCF women's track and field team recently received distinction as a 2004 All-Academic Track and Field Team by the National Collegiate Division I Track Coaches Association.
For the third consecutive season, the Golden Knights were one of 50 squads on the national level to earn the honor. The award is given to teams with a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.00 or better and is calculated by using the cumulative GPA's of all athletes who used a season of eligibility. UCF posted a combined average of 3.09.
The Golden Knights have won five consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference Championships and had a program-high eight athletes compete in the NCAA East Regional.
