Sponsored by the UCF Alumni Association in conjunction with the UCF Athletics Department, UCF Youth Sports Day acts as a mini-sports camp for hundreds of elementary students on one Saturday every spring.
Baseball, men's and women's basketball, cheerleading, football and men's soccer were among the teams that participated in the 2003 UCF Sports Day, which hosted 375 children.
"It's really great to give back," said Ryan McIntosh, a goalkeeper for the men's soccer team. "I remember being a kid and coming to an event like this. It really helped build my confidence."
