2020-21 UCF OLYMPIC SPORTS GAMEDAY A-Z GUIDE
UCF Athletics is actively working with University leadership, the American Athletic Conference, the NCAA and public health officials on a return to competition that prioritizes the health and well-being of all involved. These and other precautions undertaken are consistent with the guidance of Orange County and the state of Florida.
Fans are asked to do their part by conscientiously practicing physical distancing, frequently washing hands, using hand sanitizer and wearing face coverings to ensure the healthiest possible environment at sporting events throughout the 2020-21 season. All fans should keep a safe distance between their party and other fans while inside and outside of the venues.
Those fans who are not feeling well or have been in close contact with someone they suspect may be infected should stay home and contact their doctor.
Below are current measures that will be in place for the 2020-21 season, grouped in alphabetical order by topic. Additional details will be added and updated.
- Fans will enter through the main gate only
- Physical distancing markers will be placed at gate entry and strictly enforced. Fans must remain physically distanced and with their own party.
- A clear bag policy is in effect to enhance existing security measures and expedite venue entry.
- Active and increased cleaning/sanitizing of high touch point areas pre/during/post events such as handrails, and counters. The use of electrostatic applicator for sanitizer application will also be utilized.
- Sanitation-specific cleaning teams regularly will clean all high-touch surfaces with antibacterial spray and wipes at all point-of-sale locations, restroom facilities and other common areas including high-touch points (doors, door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, restroom stall doors/dividers, toilets, sinks, trash cans), ticket office and will-call counters and tables--and elevator interiors and plazas.
- Suite and arena attendants will remove trash from hospitality spaces and concourses throughout the game.
CONCESSIONS
- Food and beverage will be available by the main gate, in closed top boxes or individual packaging; condiments will be pre-packaged, and cutlery will be distributed with limited contact.
- Queues have been reconfigured to allow for more physical distancing and six-foot distance visual markings have been added.
- Cashless transactions are encouraged.
- Food and beverage to be consumed at seats.
- Reduction in capacity has occurred to adhere to physical distancing guidelines; Six feet between unique parties in sections. Typically, this distancing measure will result in approximately 50% capacity in each seating section.
- UCF Athletics will conduct COVID-19 event staff training sessions in advance of the home opener to support all safety measures.
- Health Check for all staff/vendors prior to entrance to facility with denial of entry at a temperature of 100.4
- Staff and Vendors to wear face coverings at all times
- Density Managers – New designation to certain team members who will be responsible during events for monitoring areas identified as being likely to have increased concentrations of guests at peak times (elevator waiting areas, concessions, and entrances). These positions will be made up of Event Staff Supervisors and will help to manage/disperse groups as needed and monitor facial coverings.

MERCHANDISE
Merchandise will not be available at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex.

- All fans attending games are encouraged to download the official UCF Knights app on their smartphones.
- Visit UCFKnights.com/app for more information and answers to some of the most frequently asked ticket-related questions. All fans are encouraged to activate push notifications for important in-venue game day messaging and exclusive content such as discount offers and more.
Parking will be available in Garage F with the baseball outfield lot as overflow
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Physical Distancing Markers and Signage
Physical distancing markers will be placed around the Arena in areas where lines may form such as restroom facilities, concessions, and merchandise locations.
Additional wayfinding and safety signage will be added to support queuing at exterior gates, seating section entrances and parking/transportation areas.
RESTROOMS
- Despite reduced capacity within the UCF Soccer and Track Complex, all restrooms will be at full capacity to allow for as much physical distancing as possible, with sanitization teams disinfecting all touch points and areas regularly throughout game day
SPIRIT TEAMS
The American Athletic Conference established the following rules for 2020-21 soccer matches for pep bands and spirit squads.
- Visiting institutions team bands, spirit squads and cheerleaders are not allowed to travel during the regular season and postseason competition.
- No admittance is allowed on the competition floor or field
- A 20-foot barrier will be enforced around the playing surface
- Spirit squads/cheerleaders must be located in the stands
- The usage of megaphones are not permissible
STUDENT INFORMATION
All home UCF Soccer matches this spring will be free to fans on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no area designated for only students so capacity would comply with the 50% stadium admission.
TAILGATING
No tailgating.
TICKET INFORMATION
- All home UCF Soccer matches this spring will be free to fans on a first-come, first-served basis. Capacity for UCF Soccer and Track Complex this season is twenty-five percent of full capacity.
- There will be no physical ticketing, but the number of fans entering The UCF Soccer and Track Complex will be counted and admission will be cut off once capacity is reached.
- Ticketing protocols, as well as capacity limitations for fans are subject to change throughout the season.
ARRIVING AT THE VENUE AT ADDITION FINANCIAL ARENA
We have implemented a number of measures to make arrival and entry to the stadium a safe experience this season:
- Fans will be required to enter at the main entrance to The Venue.
- Physical distancing markers will be placed at gate entry and strictly enforced. Fans must remain physically distanced and with their own party.
- Each section will be general admission to allow for individuals to physically distance with their group. Ushers will be on hand to assist.
- A clear bag policy is in effect to enhance existing security measures and expedite venue entry.
TICKET INFORMATION
- All home UCF Volleyball matches this spring will be free to fans on a first-come, first-served basis. Capacity for The Venue this season is 226 people, or roughly twenty-five (25) percent of full capacity. There will be no physical ticketing, but the number of fans entering The Venue will be counted and admission will be cut off once capacity is reached. Ticketing protocols, as well as capacity limitations for fans are subject to change throughout the season.

Sanitation-specific cleaning teams regularly will clean all high-touch surfaces with antibacterial spray and wipes at all point-of-sale locations, restroom facilities and other common areas including high-touch points (doors, door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, restroom stall doors/dividers, toilets, sinks, trash cans), ticket office and will-call counters and tables--and elevator interiors and plazas.
Attendants will be assigned to all restrooms throughout the arena to monitor cleanliness throughout the game.
Arena attendants will remove trash from the concourses throughout the game.
CONCESSIONS
- All food and beverage will be in closed top boxes or individual packaging; condiments will be pre-packaged, and cutlery will be distributed with limited contact.
- Queues have been reconfigured to allow for more physical distancing and six-foot distance visual markings have been added.
- Cashless transactions are encouraged.
- Lounge spaces are for grab and go only, no congregating.
- Food and beverage to be consumed at seats.
CROWD DENSITY MEASURES
- Reduction in capacity has occurred to adhere to physical distancing guidelines; Six feet between unique parties in sections. Typically, this distancing measure will result in approximately 25% capacity in each seating section.
- Elevators will be restricted to one party or 4 individuals.
- Restrooms will have physical distancing reminders added.
EVENT STAFF TRAINING AND SUPPORT
- UCF Athletics will conduct COVID-19 event staff training sessions in advance of the home opener to support all safety measures.

- Staff and Vendors to wear face coverings at all times
- Density Managers – New designation to certain team members who will be responsible during events for monitoring areas identified as being likely to have increased concentrations of guests at peak times (elevator waiting areas, concessions, and entrances). These positions will be made up of Arena Management personnel and Event Staff Supervisors and will help to manage/disperse groups as needed and monitor facial coverings.

The app has been updated with a new user-friendly option to access your tickets well before you arrive at your gate. All fans are encouraged to activate push notifications for important in-venue game day messaging and exclusive content such as discount offers, in-stadium contests and more.

RESTROOMS
Despite reduced capacity within the Addition Financial Arena, all restroom facilities will be at full capacity to allow for as much physical distancing as possible, with sanitization teams disinfecting all touch points and areas regularly throughout game day.
Fan seating capacity will be limited to 25% to ensure fans are able to safely social distance from each other. Capacity will vary depending on whether one team is playing or both teams are playing. When one team is playing, fan capacity is restricted to 188 people. When both the men and women’s tennis teams are playing at the same time, fan capacity is restricted to 375 people. We understand it might be disappointing if we have reached capacity and you are unable to attend, and we very much appreciate your patience and understanding that the health and safety of all our guests are a top priority.
Arrival
Admission is on a first come, first served basis. The USTA Collegiate Center gate, located at the east side of the Welcome Center, will open 1 hour prior to match start. Fans will receive a wristband upon entry. In the event that we are experiencing inclement weather, fans will be asked to return to their vehicles. If a match is moved indoors, fans will not be permitted in the indoor facility.
Everyone must complete the health questionnaire prior to entry to the National Campus. Please bring your mobile phone with you to the National Campus so that you can show the confirmation email of completion of the questionnaire upon arrival. Concessions
Concessions will not be available this season.
Crowd Density Measures
Follow all health and safety protocols whether provided by signage or in person. Remember to keep at least six feet between unique parties in seating sections.

- Masks are required in all indoor and outdoor spaces on campus, with very limited exceptions.
- Facemasks can be temporarily removed while actively eating or drinking in your seat, not walking or moving about, and you must and maintain appropriate physical distancing.
- Facemasks are not a substitute for physical distancing. Both are required at the National Campus for the health and safety of everyone.
- Active and increased cleaning/sanitizing of high touch point areas pre/during/post events such as handrails, counters, and elevator buttons will take place.
- Sanitation-specific cleaning teams will regularly clean all high-touch surfaces with antibacterial spray and wipes at all restroom facilities and other common areas including high-touch points (doors, door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, restroom stall doors/dividers, toilets, sinks, trash cans).
- Hand sanitizer stands will be stationed throughout the facility.
